Brad Sauber and Dawn Lyon met in March 2004 in New Zealand.  Dawn was a guest on a Bicycle Adventures tour — and Brad was the lead guide, who had just been promoted to Operations Manager for the company. After 10 days on the trip and another week in country, Brad and Dawn became “we and us.”  Dawn went on to travel through Asia on her own. Upon her return to the U.S., their (long-distance) relationship began.  They split their time between his home outside Seattle and her home in San Francisco.

In March of this year (on the anniversary of meeting), Brad (finally) proposed to Dawn.  (Yeah!!) He designed a beatiful ring etched in the New Zealand fern.  This blog will chronicle our elopement (getting married in Thailand by monks October 5) and (non-cycling) adventures in Thailand, Bhutan, India and Japan.

We invite our friend and family to travel along with us.
